Strange Jaws 12/IE9 Problem...but only with certain sites

Hi there,

The title says it all, but I'll explain what's going on, see if any of you people have a fix or even an explanation of what the hell is going on.

There's an RPG I used to play. It's called The World Called Hollow, hereafter referred to as Hollow. The URL is http://www.hollowgame.com
Normally, playing the game, you have information at the top, such as room exits, room descriptions, NPCs, mobs and the like, not to mention the various outputs from the game's channels. Needless to say, seeing this information is crucial to gameplay; without it, you have no idea who's doing what, and no idea exactly where you yourself are going. Down below is a list of links that will bring up things like stats, inventory, help, wiki and all that.
So, the problem is simple. Twice now, seemingly at random, when I've logged into the site, that top panel is simply gone. The very top of my page starts with the topmost of those aforementioned bottom links, so I can't see what folks are saying, can't see what my character is doing.
I actually had this issue a couple of years ago, and then it randomly (or so it seemed) went away, but shortly thereafter it came back. I quite literally only thought to ask about it because I saw Jaws do this again, but only very briefly, on a school computer. I rarely play Hollow anymore, but I'm wondering what sort of condition, behavior or quirk would cause a screenreader to do this, and if there's ay way to fix it.
In the past, I have gone so far as to clear my cache, empty my cookies, even reinstall the web-browser, with no success, which makes me think it's Jaws somehow. I don't recall monkeying with any settings that would impact things like image map links or any other HTML presentation, which might otherwise have had an impact.

...So yeah, that's it in a nutshell. Anyone with feedback, or further questions, please post them here.

The site may have updated, and that would make Jaws 12 act weird. Try a demo or Jaws 14 on it and see what you get.

I will try that, and I thank you for the feedback.
However, since it has gone back to working and then gone wonky a second time, and since I'm about 99% sure they didn't make a change and then revert it, only to reinstate it, I'm not sure that this alone could be an issue.
Before I go any further, let me state one more thing I should've gotten out of the way first and foremost. This is a text-based RPG. The entire game, pretty much, is text files; player profile pages can host pictures, or links to pictures, but that's as far as it goes. There may be small pictures in advertisements down at the bottom of the page, but if so, I don't see them, I just see links and splash text, your typical google-ad fare. That said, the site's not heavy on resources, graphics, flash or any other non-Jaws-friendly content.

If you can get your hands on NVDA see if it has the same issue. If it's a jaws issue that should show as much
